I guess its time for my first monthly favourites post! I'll try not to miss anything out.
Let's start with beauty favourites. If you've seen me before 2015, you would probably realise that my eyebrows are pretty much invisible. The 1. Collection's Work the Colour Eyebrow Kit is probably one of my top beauty favourite for this month (maybe for the next few months too!) It comes with a clear brow gel, which is probably why I love it so much. The kit is wonderful as the eyebrow powders also work well as eyeshadows. The next beauty favourite would be 2. Maybelline's Colour Sensational lipstick in 615 Summer Sunset. My lips have always been quite pale, and this lipstick does a great job at making me look a little bit more alive. I've been using it religiously for the past month, even though at first I didn't really think it would be suitable for my skin tone. A much as I love this lipstick, I do hope to find a better my-lips-but-better lip product soon.
Next, skincare favourites. Let's be real here, I've never really bothered to have a proper skincare routine before 2015. You can guess that taking care of my skin was on my 2015's resolutions and I'm proud to say that I've been able to keep up with it so far. My skincare favourite for this month is 3. Aiken's Tea Tree Oil Spot Away toner. In my opinion, toners can really be a hit-or-miss. Before I started using this toner, I used to use the Clean and Clear's toner and I noticed that it was drying my skin so much that my skin started to to peel off. Aiken's toner on the other hand works well on my skin, isn't drying and is affordable.
Fashion favourites! I've been going out quite a lot this month since I started my driving lessons this month and also I've been hanging around Starbucks a lot for work. Since I bring my laptop and notebooks literally everywhere I go, so I've been using this 4. blue leather backpack that was a gift from my mum to my sister, but she didn't find it convenient for her so she passed it down to me. I love how it has so many different generously-sized pockets, which means I can just dump my makeup and stationaries in separate pockets and not having to worry about my bag being bulky from the makeup and pencil bags. Also, the bag is just the appropriate size for me which means I no longer look as if I'm carrying a potato sack on my back. Since I don't have my driving license yet, I usually take public transports when I go out and I also tend to choose to walk to places. If you're the type who walks a lot, you would understand how important it is to own a pair of comfortable shoes that feels as good as it looks. For me, that pair of shoes would be my 5. Nike Free WMNS OG 14' in black/wolf grey.
Here's my favourite part, music favourites! Let's talk about this one song that has been stuck in my head the entire month, 6. Yamaha by Delta Spirit. I was watching Warm Bodies for the 1287846387th time and the song just won't leave my head. Next would be 7. No Interruption by Hoodie Allen. Annoying lyrics, but great tune nonetheless. 8. Go On, Say It by Blind Pilot and 9. When It's Over by Sugar Ray are just songs that will stay in my life forever. My last music favourite would be 10. Miracles by Coldplay, but the cover version done by Daniel Ferri. He's so brilliant and he does really good Muse covers as well. You guys should check him out here!
Here's the last category, the random favourites. Last night (or more like this morning) at 1am I made the greatest decision of my life to read 11. Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. This book has been in my room since forever, but I've never read it until last night. As basic as it sounds, I loved the book. Though I am quite disappointed at how the book isn't exactly parallel to the movie, which I chose to watch this morning after reading it. First of all, the hair??? And where them tattoos at bruh, I was looking forward to see tattoos on Channing Tatum's manly arms ahaha. Anyway, my next favourite is a book too, except it is an empty book that I am expected to fill in myself. It is my tiny 12. day-to-day planner which I love oh so very much. Its mint in colour with gold letterings on the front. I have to say having a planner really helps you keep yourself together. Last but not least, my favourite favourites of all, 13. Supernatural's 200th episode, Fanfiction. Oh my god, words cannot describe how brilliant that episode was. From the Winchester's facial expressions (especially Dean) to the songs from the musical itself; the episode as whole was an excellent way to celebrate the show's 200th episode. If you don't watch Supernatural, you really are missing out on something (not really).
I guess that's all for my February Favourites! I hope that the post isn't too draggy, and sorry for missing out a few pictures! I hope you liked it, and let me know what you think! :)
